seeing just about all full length headers sit below the frame . any one have any input on headers for a c1500 with a big block, either shortys with a y pipe that fits up nicely or a set of mid lengths that will fit. i planing on swapping in a 454 over the winter and it is a bagged truck that lays frame so clearance is an issue. any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Edelbrock makes some nice shorties but you'll need to have a custom rasied y pipe made. I know they used to sell a raised y pipe but not sure if they do any more.

well doug thorley headers responded to one of my emails. and they claim their setup sits higher then the frame. and i would have no trouble laying out.
and it uses a y pipe that attaches to the 3 inch cat. time to start saving.
