It has a Fabtech 4" spindles and UCAs along with 2" Rough Country Coils. The rear has HD 2500 leaf springs and 4" blocks.

I also converted it to 6 lug, intalled a 14 bolt semi-floating axle from a 96 Z-71 along with 4.56 gears, and a U-bolt flip in the rear.

6 lug front.

Nice truck man you have now inspired me to get black rock crawler rims on my white truck. Thanks got any other pics?

How wide are those tires? Truck looks good. I want to run 35 x12.50's on 10.5 inches of lift but I love the to small of a tire for that lift look. Now I just need money...

The tires are 35x12.50's. By the way, STAY AWAY from the Fabtech Coil/Upper control arm kit. The coils are to stiff and will eat your balljoints. Trust me. I recommend the Fabtech Upper control arm and Rough Country 2" coil along with a 4" spindle, or the Fabtech 7.5" Crossmember kit. I also heard good things about the CST kit. Also, stay away from wide rims. Use 8" wide rims max. Any more then that, you will wear your front end fast.

I am reading and finding out the sub frame lifts are the only way to go. I still want the wider 10 inch wheel though. I'm not gonna use the truck much even when its lifted, probably less then what I do now.

Subframe lift is the old way? That thing just came out. Anyway, if you use the 10" wide wheel, use good ball joints and tie rods. MOOG would be the best bet. Also, if you keep up on alignment, and chassis lubes, you should get a lot more life from all the steering/suspension parts.

truck looks great

what was the cost on that rear axle and also the swap in, was it a bolt in and go?

have you thought about doing a rear diskbrake setup now since you have the 6 lug and the front rotors will fit the rear?

Typo. check my post now. I meant only, not old.

I thought about the rear disks, but I couldn't use my 15" rims that. As far as the axle, it cost me $455 shipped from a guy in California. Gears and Install kit was $325. U-bolt flip was $50.

It is a bolt and go except for the U-joint. I had to buy a Precision #447 u-joint and a u-joint specifically for my truck. I took the driveshaft caps off of the joint for my truck and put them on the 447 in order to make it work. The driveshaft caps on the 447 are a little to big for the driveshaft.

I'm new to the forum been lurking for a while, great site, a wealth of info. BTW Nice truck. Can you tell me what you used to convert the front to 6-lug. I have a 4x axle I want to swat into my 2wd truck but don't want 5-lug up front and 6-lug out back.

To convert the front, all you need is a set of 6 lug rotors. Go to any autoparts store and tell then you need a set of front rotors for a C2500 6 lug truck. Just say its like a 95 or 96 year model.

Axis: NICE TRUCK! I want to lift my diesel. It is seriously too fast already one ticket (no points though- he let me go because of my attitude and my perfect driving record, hehe). So, to slow me down some, I am going to put some 33X12.5 R15's on 8" rims on it. From my sig, I have two trucks, and the diesel sits 1" lower at the bumper in the front than the gasser. What did you do for the 35's to fit? I think the 2" lift coils will only lift my diesel 1". The diesel engine weighs almost 700 pounds when my 4.3 weighs about 400. Maybe I could order the 2" lift coils for a C2500?

Easiest thing to do would be to install lift spindles. You can clear 33's with no problem, and look great.

Thanks again for the compliments guys.

That axle looks good. You should tell that guy in CA that he did a good job of crating it up, seems like it arrived in good condition...except for those worn brake pads I never got around to replacing
