Just a quick question about adjustable fuel pressure regulators...... I have a 95 K2500 350 TBI that is stock except I have modified the air intake by adding spacers on the throttle body and the injector pod, also removed the silencer duct running to the fender and installed a hypertech power charger(the bowl).

From reading some of the information on this board regarding fuel pressure on these TBI's, I was wondering if I would need to start thinking about installing a adjustable fuel pressure regulator or do I need more mods to get any positive affects from it.

Thanks again, Gary

CFMtech recommerds stock TBIs to be set @ 13psi for best performance. In your case I would try 13.5 to 14. I'm really thinking about that powercharger cause I'm not really into open elemnts and if I take out the gold ring my cleaner wont sit on the TB right. Let me know what you think of it.

What is the stock pressure?

I can't say I've noticed a major difference in the SOTP but what I do notice is that the truck seems to accelerate better with less throttle feed than prior to the mods. It's a heavy truck -- HD K2500 extended cab long bed. I did install the mods, replaced the fuel filter, and gave the old girl a seafoam treatment thru the TB at about the same time so as to what the bowl did I cant say. Common sense would dictate that the stock spacer is much more restrictive by design alone. I also replaced the intake gasket recently as it had a coolant leak -- no performance difference there obviously.

stock fuel pressure is 9-13 PSI.

They will barely run on 9 psi. Most of the stock trucks I have worked with like 12-14 PSI. With some light mods they tend to like 13-16 PSI. Heavy mods need lots of pressure and a custom chip.
