I have an 89 4WD and whenver I drive down the road I hear a sound like water gurgling or something.Sounds like its coming from the heater core area, also my heater doesn't seem to get hot quickly and it usually runs 175 or so but never 200.
The last sound always come from the passenger side floor area and sounds like an electric motor closing somthing. It always makes this sound AFTER I turn off the ignition and onmly last a few seconds. Thats the best I can do decsribing them, hope someone can help me out.
Thanks

I asked the same electric motor question when I first got mine too! It's the climate control door. I'm unsure why it doesn't make that noise when you switch from areas of air to come out. Originally I thought it was a power antenna.
The water sound is probably an air pocket in your cooling system. My Supra gets that if I don't burp the radiator. Start the truck up from cool with the radiator cap off. Get it up to warm temp and rev the engine a little, but not too quick. This will get the water circulation and hopefully dislodge the trapped air. Trapped air can also make your vehicle run hot because it's a place for the coolant to expand. Get rid of it and I hope it fixes the problem!
