I used this product on my truck for the second, and last time today. I used it during the summer in 2005 and forgot how crappy of a product it is. It leaves a nice shine like Mother's, Meguiar's, etc. but is so damned hard to remove from the paint. I felt like I was grinding it off the paint with the towel when I was removing it. I hated having to be so rough with the paint. I was not impressed, especially considering how easy other waxes are to remove.

Teflon wax is a gimmick. Teflon requires 600+ degrees to proper adhere to a surface.

If you read the bottle carefully, many of the products containing Dupont Teflon will have a disclaimer that says Teflon does nothing to enhance the SHINE of a paint surface.

The idea with Teflon in wax/sealant is to make things less likely to adhere to the surface.

Personally, any wax that's that tough to use isn't worth my efforts. I've used plenty that way...fuggedaboudit:eyecrzy:

That's a moot point if the Teflon never bonds to the surface.

Right....never did I say it DOES or DOES NOT bond, I just said that's the idea. Perhaps idea is a bad choice of words...the THEORY behind the Teflon component.

I got some Mequires NXT for Christmas. I'm trying a spray on come springtime. Hows the nxt to remove?

Given proper application methods (read: thin, even coats), NXT is very easy to remove once it's dried. In reasonable operating temperatures (at least 60 F) it generally wipes clean after 15 minutes of cure time.

When you mention the spray, do you mean the NXT booster spray to go over the NXT paste or liquid?

NXT is an excellent wax. Easy on, easy off, very nice shine.

Oh-oh. I'll have to read the bottle. I was under the impression that it was spray wax.
