31x10.5 on 1996 gmc 2wd 15 rims

I have a three inch lift and it says I can fit 32 inch tires on the truck. But the problem is someone told me 32x12.5 would not fit because the rims aren't wide enough. So now I want to fit 31x10.5 on the rims will this work?? My next step down would be LT 265/75/15. And one more question how wide is the 75?? in inches.

265 is the width in mm, to convert to inches just divide it by 25.4


the 75 is the percentage of this number, which is the height of the wheel, on on side of the rim.

once you find this number, multiply it times 2, so you get both sides of the rim. Then add in the rim diameter, and that will tell you how tall your tire is:D :D

A 32 x 11.5 will fit. :smokin:
