I have a 2000 GMC sierra, x-cab. I currently have 20x8 with 285 50's. I have 2 inch shackles in the rear and am lookin to do a 2/4 drop. My questions are, what are the pro's and cons of doing springs in the front versus spindles?
I was quoted $850 for a local shop to do Eibach front springs and shackles and hangers in the rear. Can i use my existing shackles that i have already installed? If i go with the eibach setup, how will the ride be. and what will the ride be compared to doing spindles?

Spindles will ride better. Yes you can use your shackles. $850 sounds pretty high to me, I'd try somewhere else. I'd go with the McGaughys Deluxe 2/4. With those tires you'll be really close to rubbing with a 2/4.

Eibach are good springs, it would be stiffer though. 850 does seem kind of high though, but rivets are a pain it the ass. Keeping your shackles won't drop you the 4 inches, unless if they are drop shackles. using spindles will keep your ride close to stock.
