I got my Kp watts link in last night from Larry at inovative air and started installing it this morning.I had to cut the crossmember out because it would hit when layed out and had to get rid of the old panhard bar(you can see how short it was). I've got abou 75% of it done but I have to go to work so I'll try and finish it up tommorow. I would also like to thank Larry, he was a real good guy to deal with and he has free shipping for orders over $300 I think...:head:

Also the center pivot welds to the diff cover and imo that's not a very smart design.

KP bolts to the diff bolts though... center is just a pivot point, not a stress point...

Stress or not I still would take the KP that uses 10 bolts as opposed to welding to the center of a thin diff cover.

It's a very beefy kit I'm very impressed and I am welding it along with using the bolts !!

Her's some pics of it all done. I can't believe how much better the truck handles without that panhard shift when I go over bumps and dips in the road. Over all it was a very easy install and worth the money IMO !! the last pic is all layed out.

Dave, do you have any pictures of the mounts on the frame? I just have Bell's bolt in 'c-notch' and trying to make this work for me! Thanks

Here's some pics of were it mounts to the frame. The kit comes with three diferent brackets to mount to the frame also !!

looking good man, i started to put mine on today. i just put the diff. mount on. i'm re-notching & bagging it next weekend.

also, i took the brake proportion valve off that mounting bracket & mounted it straight to the diff. mount.

traction ?

handling? Bagged guys run it to keep the axle centered with no side to side movement. When bagged guys run a panhard bar (just a single bar from the axle to the frame) it can shift the axle a 1/4" from side to side when airing it up and when layed all the way out.

Looks great Dave. The only thing I don't like are the hemi joints. Other than that, it's a killer looking setup.

thanx for the information

would you recommend a watts link with 4/6 drop , no bags?

there is no reason too if your still using leaf springs... leafs hold the axle center.

If you were to 4 link the truck and run a coilover setup then a watts would be alright. A parallel 4 link would work great with one and even a triangulated works well becuase a watts link keeps the rear more centered than even a triangulated link setup. Watts links were actually derived from racing where their actually is no air ride so it is compleetly ok to run it...

Your leaf springs keep the axle centered.

Your leaf springs keep the axle centered.

:word: But if you want the extra stability, you can use a panhard with a static drop. It does the same thing at a fraction of the cost and since you're not raising and lowering the truck, movement won't be an issue.
