I went back to buy it (figured $150):

But, it was "back on pawn status."

So, I happened to be in Home Depot in Portland.....they just happened to be lowering the price (to $269) when I walked in. Model WL660999AJ

I figured that since the tools came with the compressor..........it would probably work for my garage.

Then, there was the no intrest for 6 months, if you sign up for a Home Depot CC and your purchase is over $300. So, I signed up and bought more stuff to get the total up to $300. Then, there was the 10% off for a first time Home Depot CC usage. Humm.......what an excuse to spend more money........figured I needed to spend $330............I was happy to comply. Did I happen to mention that.......Portland, OR.....doesn't have a sales tax?

Heck of a deal! It's nice when things sometimes just fall into place...don't always work that way. Enjoy your new air toys, my shop wouldn't be the same without mine, good luck!

And now.......how do I plan to pay for it?? (The wife found out, she thought it was a new Bar-B-Q Grill.)

My compressor is 45 gallons and 12cfm's @ 40 psi, 10cfm's @ 90 psi, 3.5hp, 135 psi max, 220v and it's perfect for anything except constant use of a high cfm jitterbug or similar body sander. I use electric for sanders anyways.

The 30 gallon ones I looked at didnt reccomend painting vehicles with them. Go big though, you'll love yourself for it! Lowes sold me mine with the no interest for 12 months! I can't wait til it's paid off, then I can get a welder, lol. Killer deal too man, like payin cash for it!

Bigger (gals and HP) is always better when it comes to air compressors and you're using paint guns and sanders. Don't forget water filters to keeps the moisture out of your tools and oil them too.

Yup...........size matters.

I would have loved to gone bigger. My dream compressor would have been at least 9cfm @ 90psi, at least 30-60 gal tank, and running on 120 volt. Didn't find it. Most compressors in that range were 220 volt.......and $400+ (w/o tools).

From the other thread, I learned that there are other folks who can survive with less.

And, I had the garage wiring to consider........so, with the tools included in the price......well, that sealed the deal for me.

I was figuring $150 for the Coleman compressor (Pawn shop) and another $100 for tools (Harbor Freight). But, that was not to be.

So, for $269.........New: Husky compressor (same as Campbell Hausefield) and tools (Rachet, Hammer, Paint spray gun, Grease gun, Impact Wrench, hose, and various small stuff).........then the 10% CC discount and 6 months no intrest.........that did it.

I just hope I'll be happy and w/o regrets, later on.

PS..........sanders use alot of air......elec. would be a good option.
