Supposedly my dad bought a Jensen GM/Chrysler sized head unit at his auction for 65 bucks. I can't see it til' the mornin', but I'm keeping the best in mind. I normally work, but now that football has started and SCHOOL is almost back in, I won't be working there anymore. It's fun on Mon. nights and I get alot of cool stuff.

finally got the stereo installed. I'll have to say that Jensen isn't the best but it's definitely better than factory. The only probblem I've had with it is that it doesn't some of my burnt CD's. I'm not complaining though. It was cheap!

yeah, some CD palyers have a hard time reading burnt CD's for some reason. not sure why..

Got me. Mine's the biggest piece of crap you've ever seen, but it plays burned cd's.

I think it's got something to do with the laser. Also how recent the thing is. Mine was in the box brand new, but it could have been made before burned Cd's came out. Who knows!

Mine was in my truck when I bought it, but I think it could have been the first or second cd headunit ever built. That's how outdated the thing looks.

I tried some other burned ones and it seems to just be a select few. It's probably just the CD's. Oh well!

try the cds that are darker like the ones that have a blue tint not the silver tint. Ive had problems with the light ones.

landshark is right, most cd p[layers can only read the lighter colored cds, specially the older ones. As long as you keep the cd player clean and use the lighter burned cds it should work. Though some cd player will read all cds, i have had less problems with a cd that is lighter. Plus if you go and buy a new one, make sure that it will play burned cd. Some companies think it is funny or something and not say wether their stereo will or will not play burned cds.

all new cd players will play burned cd's, just not burned mp3 cd's.


The pioneer I have that I bought back in 97 will play burned cd's like a champ.

yeah, i got me a kenwood z828 so i just burn mp3s onto a cdrw and then i can just change whatever mp3s i want easily, wooohoooo!
