I saw 3 ton jack stands @ wal:eek: mart. They extended to 17.5". Is this tall enough to install a 3" bl, aal, 33" tires, etc.?

the body lift wouldnt effect the height of the jack needed because it doesnt raise the axles further off the ground any. tires will effect it though. with 33" tires you probably have about 14-15 inches until you reach the axles until you start lifting the vehicle. so once you have the weight off of the truck you probably only will have it about 2 inches off of the ground. correct me if im wrong.

edit: quink, are you from quincy, massachusetts?

I'm still using a 2 ton floor jack from the early 60's....fugger works great!

I've got 6 ton jack stands, 4 ton jack stands, and 2 ton jackstands. The 6 tonners I use for the truck. I steal my freind's speedy lift high rise 3.5 ton jack when I can, however.

I've got a 3-ton hydraulic jack with MICHELIN on the label. Don't know if it was made in the USA or not, but I've had zero problems out of it. I've also got the matching 6-ton jackstands (chrome frame with the blue support) - total of 4.

Purchased the whole setup at Sam's Club a few years ago. Can't recall the price. :sorry:
