Call a headliner company that will do a mobile. Cost is about $100 around here. cdog91 07-06-2006, 04:16 PM im in the process of taking mine out and replacing the material ck-resto sells replacement material or whole premade headliners. The_Ogre25 07-06-2006, 05:28 PM I just did mine last week. I went to a frabic store and they sold headliner material in like 20 colors. They also had the 3m glue for foam backed material. the hardest part is pulling out the interior to get the head liner out. Once you get the trim off there is velcro in the front holding it up. You have to be carefull pulling it out, the board is flimsy layered paper stuff. Take a soft nylon brush to get the old foam off, spary glue on board and new material and carfully press material to the headboard. I trimmed the excess off and wrapped the material around the back with some more glue and put it back in. Took me all of 2 hours. If I knew it was this easy I would have done it months ago instead of pulling tack that fell down out of my butt. Oh and all the fabric ( 2 yds.) and the glue cost like 35 bucks. Quyonmob 07-06-2006, 05:36 PM My current fabric seems to be in exc condition. I plan on removing it, reglueing it and re-installing. TITANIUM 07-06-2006, 05:53 PM I just did mine last week. Thats the easist way i cleaned the foam off. Even thou the headliner looks perfect once u start pulling off the fabric it will just seperate the foam and the fabric. ONce the new headliner is set in place with 3M glue be careful, its a pain to try pull it up to readjust. Make sure you dont have any wrinkles almost impossible to fix it once u press it down. The_Ogre25 07-06-2006, 10:57 PM yeah my fabric looked good except for the thumb tacks the previous owner put in it but all the foam was separated and a bunch had deteriorated and was just dust. AirSchatz 07-07-2006, 01:21 AM If you can get the headliner out of the truck, just peel off the old, get some 3m spray adheisive, and some headliner material. All you have to do and spray the adhesive on the headliner and on the material, lay the material on the headliner, cut the excess off and reinstall the headliner. Very easy job. I have done it on several of my friends rides and they were impressed. I usually buy my headliner material at Joann's Fabric. But you can check and see if any of the fabric places in your town carry it or can order it. Its a simple job. envy54 07-07-2006, 02:03 AM Cool I'll check into it. Mine is sagggggggggging bad Toolman 07-07-2006, 02:13 AM You gotta pull the foam. The liner is sagging beacuse the foam is failing. IF you do not pull the foam it will just sag again when the foam pulls apart again. envy54 07-07-2006, 02:22 AM Ok so the foam is eliminated, thus leaving the adhesive to attach the material to the board of the headliner Toolman 07-07-2006, 02:55 AM Ok so the foam is eliminated, thus leaving the adhesive to attach the material to the board of the headliner Yes, that is the way to do it. Just use sand paper and scuff up the cardboard(or whatever it is) then use spray adhesive(sp) to the cardboard and the new headliner foam. I have used the 3-M 90. IT has the best strength. envy54 07-07-2006, 09:36 AM cool Ill post the result of mine I guess in a couple of days vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
