View Full Version : Best D-Maxx air intake? I'm gonna get you and bigredz mixed up now... B-rad 07-10-2006, 04:46 PM the best one is the stock one. the aftermarket intakes either have ZERO gain or a big loss. the best thing to do is modify the stock one. drill some holes in the bottom support plate and the bottom of the air box. its free and better than anything you can buy dozerboy 07-10-2006, 08:48 PM X2 or a stock one off the 06s but the filters ain't cheap. foreman00081 07-21-2006, 05:48 AM ive got the aem brute force, got a really good deal on a new one on ebay so i went for it, no huge gains or anything like that but it did seem to smooth out the power delivery and help the engine feel less restricted after i tuned it with the hypertech, and it sounds pretty cool too. LostBoy 08-08-2006, 06:05 PM aFe Stage 2's not bad IMO - don't know if anybody here's had bad experience w/ it, but they seem to be more in-tune w/ diesels than others... vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
