Mine wound up in some antifreeze a while back. I let it dry, and it still seems to work ok, but it leaves streaks. I would just throw it in the wash, but I don't know if that will hurt it's effectiveness. Anyone washed one? Results?

Hand wash it in warm water w/ Woolite. Let AIR dry......be forwarned.....it takes like a week to dry out.

BTW, You won't believe all the dirt that comes out.

Woolite works good for removing dirt/grime, but a California duster works best if left unwashed. Washing removes the waxes from the material. If it has been in antifreeze, I would just get a new one. Antifreeze can severely damage your paint!!! I would just be affraid that you couldn't get all of it out of the duster. Be careful. If it is streeking, then there is antifreeze in the duster, which is destroying your paint! I hope you don;t have a red truck.

The Woolite does'nt take off the wax that's on the duster.....just the dirt.

I actually like the way it works better now. BTW, those wash directions are on the tag that everyone cuts off (and throws out)from the handle.

Awesome! I guess I must have cut my tag off too... It's been a while. I'll pick up some Woolite tomorrow & wash it. Too bad the car show is on Saturday (& I just waxed it, so I don't want to wash it again!) Maybe if it sits in the sun it will dry faster. Thanks!

We're having a cruise-in at Toyota on Saturday from 12-4. I got volunteered (against my will!) to work the show, so I figure I'll at least show the truck. I gotta get this topper off quick though!!! If I had somewhere to put it I'd ask you to help me take it off.

Mike, I'll give me a call if I don't call you before you read this. You can leave it at my place.

You wouldn't want me to leave it there. I probably won't put it back on for a while. I really need somewhere to store it. Grrr!
