new silveraodo's w/ onstar?

how can you hook up a aftermarket deck like a alpine and still be able to use onstar? i heard there was somethoing called onstad or something anyone else heard of it? how much does it run? any other suggestions would be great thanxs!

Supposedly the guys at http://www.soundgate.com/index.html make a thing called STARMOD2 that allows keeping OnStar w/ an aftermarket deck, but I did not see it on their web site. Here are some more sites on it:
