I had just bought a 2003 2500HD and did a search thru google to see what was available for performance upgrades and what some of the problems someone might have had with them. Your link came up in an Edmunds Report forum that I had looked at. So far i have seen alot of info on trucks, not finding what I need yet but I will continue to look.

Googled "1996 Z71 problems".... I think. Not at the top but the first couple pages. I usually give up after the first 5 pages.

This forum seemed to be the most informative and without all the smart allec remarks common on some other ones.

EDIT:

Mistake..... They are here too.... Check my posts and you will see.

I was new and looking for help. I was also excited about having a new (used) truck.

Some "Smart allec" (Joe). Proved me wrong....

All in all. Still a good forum and I plan to stay....

This guy was obviously a troll or has been lurking around here bored for too long and is unwilling to help people (especially new ones).....

They always talked **** about FSC, so i decided to check the site out and i dont know why they are so pissy... jealousy maybe, but anyway, all i have to say is i like FSC and hope for years of friends and posting up here !!!

I was looking for information on my 1997 Tahoe. I Googled "Tahoe" & got a bunch of crap about Lake Tahoe...After a few pages, I ran across a "Chevy Tahoe Forum". I tried searching through that, but either it was a new forum, or Chevrolet didn't make Tahoe's before about 2003. There was almost nothing about the older ones. I spotted the link to this forum in somebody's post. I haven't been back to the other forum since.

I need a new engine but people tell me it can't be done due to the year. I see now they don't know S from S. Look forward to my further education in the art of FSC Thx, KB.
