For the 2006 model year in terms of speed and 1/4 mile times, nothing can touch an LBZ. Both Ford and Dodge diesels run in the 16 second range. Jeff 09-08-2006, 05:18 AM Thanks, that confirms my suspicions, although I didnt know they were that quick these days. I am surprised the cummins has caught up though. What started this was a guy at work bragging on an 06 PSD, stating it was the fastest stock diesel out, and in fact was faster and quicker than any stock gas powered chevy pickup. Another guy chimed in and said an 03 dmax was quicker than the psd and my truck (see sig). Basically we'll have to take this to the track to sort it all out. The Ford is an 06 psd auto reg cab 4wd. The chevy is an 03 dmax allison crew cab maybe 4wd? Thanks for the info guys. TTA89 09-09-2006, 08:48 AM My 2006 went 15.1@86 and my Friends 04 PSD went 16.0 but I forget the MPH. Both Extended Cab 4wd with experienced drag racers. AZdragger 09-09-2006, 09:09 AM I'm sure configuration will play a role as well: RCLB, ECSB, ECLB, CCSB, CCLB, and if it's a SRW or DRW, and 2wd vs. 4wd all will make somewhat of a small difference in your time and speed :read: :read: J.Whitten 09-09-2006, 10:32 AM sorry for the stupid question, but what is a LBZ?? Big Angry 09-09-2006, 11:01 AM sorry for the stupid question, but what is a LBZ?? The RPO code for the 3rd gen Dmax, has 360hp and 650 ftlbs, wasn't available until the 2006 model year. Some 06's have an LLY which is basically the same motor w/ different programming. vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
