do you have a link to these 3" spindles? i would really like to purchase these instead of a 2.5" coil lift. so when you get new spindles, you probably need nwe shocks, correct?
i am really new to the whole lifting scene of trucks, and id rather part something together instead of going to a shop and say "please lift my truck" and gettin bitchslapped with huge bills

so bascially, what entails a 3" spindle lift?
and do you have a link to this set of 3" spindles?
Thanks

Rough Country.com
You can get just the spindle($289) or they sell a kit with Blocks for the rear and shocks($429). You can use the factory shocks in the front because the new spindle is not any longer than the factory spindle. The only difference between the rc spindle and the factory one is were the hub mounts to the spindle is moved down 3inches. this was really easy to install. i did the front in about 3 hours. the blocks shouldnt take more than an hour. im not really sure cause i didnt use them.

I'm considering this one also. What would be the benefits of going with the packaged RC Hydro 8000 or optional Nitro 9000 shocks as opposed to keeping the factory ones?

it all depends on what your using the truck for. If you have the money then get the best shocks you can. If money is tight then run your factory shocks, or the ones that come with the kit. Im Running Procomp ES 9000's and i love them. My Truck rides so much better with these compared to the stock. Everyone on here says you have to change out the rear shocks if you go with the RC lift. I was running 2 inch spacers to begin with and air bags in the back. i had the back lifted 2 inches and never had a problem with the factory shocks, but my truck never is off road. I would say get the nitros with the kit if i were doing it from stock.

i cant find it on the RC site and online stores that have the spindles from RC seem to be at 730 (With shocks and such)
it would be infintely helpful if somoeone could link me to the RC site or any online store that has JUST 3" or 4" spindles

if your wanting just the spindles then you have to call rough country. they do not advertise there spindles only. If you want the kit with shocks and blocks then just go to Rough country.com. they should have them on there. if you dont find them on there then go to Topguncustoms.com. they also sell the same kit. If you do a search on ebay i know that there were some of the kits on there. i havent looking on there for them in a month or so. top gun customs used to have at least one kit on there all the time.

ok here ya go http://roughcountry.com/chevy_2wd_99-06.asp when you get to this page there is a part that says MODEL, then it has a drop down to the right of it. click on the drop down and that is where you would select spindle only.

that is the kit at topguncustomz.com, and that i find everywhere else, but for some reason, it is 92-98 STD cab only, and doesnt include my 1991 standard cab (but is 88-98 for EXTcab). this really blows, i wonder if they can be modified by shaving or something to make them work, but id hate to spend so much to find out the answer is no....anyone have a solution to this?

Tires shouldnt stick out more than an inch.
