Could you do it in a weekend or maybe a long weekend? The shop in town wanted 800 for the install. Thats crap! Snake What shocks are you going to run with the lift? 2005_Silverado 01-21-2007, 04:13 PM Tools: Full set of 1/2in and 1/4in sockets, torque wrench, BIG floor jack, BIG hammer, torx set, allen wrenches, zip ties and LOTS of muscle. If its your first time doing a lift, a weekend will do. If your experienced, it'll take 4-6hrs plus taking it to the alignment shop. bigcody 01-21-2007, 10:06 PM yeah, it doesnt take longer than 6 hours to complete. If you bring it to a common mechanic shop, they shouldnt charge much more than 50 bucks an hour to do, so it shouldnt cost more than $300. 1bad05 01-22-2007, 03:49 PM it took me about 5hrs on a friday night and it was done. i did it my self with no help and im not the quickest when it comes to working on trucks. 2005_silverado said his was all standard size but mine was actually all metric? not sure i have an 05 also. i would have a complete set of both sockets. also an air compressor and impact made it really nice. Nate99 01-22-2007, 04:35 PM You need big metric sockets (22-26mm), other than that, your standard hand tools should get the job done. I did mine alone on one saturday, but I was pretty sore after it was done. If you have help, should be a piece of cake. Don't forget to re-route your brake lines! 2005_Silverado 01-22-2007, 05:50 PM I dont mean a 1/2in socket...I mean a 1/2in ratchet wrench set. You will need BIG sockets for the spindle and hubs. it took me about 5hrs on a friday night and it was done. i did it my self with no help and im not the quickest when it comes to working on trucks. 2005_silverado said his was all standard size but mine was actually all metric? not sure i have an 05 also. i would have a complete set of both sockets. also an air compressor and impact made it really nice. 1bad05 01-23-2007, 05:43 AM yeah check out your brake lines and your abs sensor. i had some issues with mine. they were rubbing the wheels when i would turn. jknight8907 01-23-2007, 07:15 AM You do have aftermarket wheels, don't you? The CST spindle lift doesn't work with OEM wheels, at least not without at least 1/4" spacers. fabtech_chevy 01-23-2007, 11:00 AM yeah, it doesnt take longer than 6 hours to complete.
