View Full Version : Need Help On Gas Tank Relocation 2dr Hoe

my buddy has a bagged 2dr tahoe 2wd.
the rear has a KP 4link fbss and is layed out as far as he can go before the gas tank becomes a factor. he plans on cutting out the front wheel wells (easy part) and moving the gas tank up into the body (hard part). we want to stay away from a fuel cell and just modify the tank/lines to make the rear lay frame. he sits about one inch from being fully layed out (22"). what can he do to accomplish this feat???

pics man I want to see pics this sounds bad ass. Did he use a bolt on KP 4 link. Man I want to see how this sits. Please get pics.

you wont be able to just raise the tank if you take the tank out you will know what i mean. Me and donnie (tahoen) put a tank inside the back and sealed it off and put a custom sub box over it to hide it.

find someone crazy enough to section a couple inches out of it? Only thing els is a cell or stash it in the back... I like the back open though. also curious if it’s the bolt on kp kit to please let me know and gets some pics...

This I'd like to see too..especially since I'm from Modesto and love 2dr's and I've never saw a bagged one around here...

yes pics NOW please, you also have the option of getting a s10 blazer tank and swapping that in. Its only 15 gallons I believe compared to the 25 or so that we have.

That's the tank I'm using, '92 s10 blazer 4dr gas tank for my 2door TAHOE 2wd conversion. It's working out great.
