Hey,im about to install a 6in springtech lift on my 2002 silverado 2wd ext. cab. I think im going to buy the 18 motto metal wheels that are 9inch wide, but what size tires can I fit? and what would look best? what brand?

thanks for any help

not to bash but i've heard bad things about springtech have you already purchased it?. Did they not recommend a size? i would guess around a 33" tall 11" wide tire. im not sure how wide you can go due to the backspacing. as fas as wheels go i've heard that you can put a tire that is 4" wider than the wheel itself and no more!. so 11" would be very safe. im not sure if this helps or not but surely some very "wheel educated" guys will chime in. personally i like the style. good luck to ya

Do you thin a lt285/65R18 would work on there? It is 32.52in tall and 11.22in wide.(that was the closest I found) Also how do I know what back spacing to get on the rim once I have the tire size? Thanks, Ian

get your rim lay it face down and get a long ass ruller or anything long and flat... lay the ruller or what ever on the rim from lip to lip ( basically lay it acros the center of the rim)
then measure up from the center of rim ( where it will bolt to ya hubs, should be flat) to the strip you layed across the rim. ( youll be measuring up towards the ceiling) the number you get will be your backspacing.. hope that helps
