I think it would be easier for me to just list my mods. Truck started out as a six cylinder 73' SWB with a bad bed and some rust issues(go figure). After getting a "newer" bed and straightening and adding metal I started with the mods. Lowered 5 by 5 cut springs in front and flip kit in rear. Will be getting an airbag setup this winter to slam the truck to the ground. Chopped the roof 4" and leaned the windshield back. On the interior, i swapped out the old 73 interior and replaced it with the 81-87 interior(i.e. dash and door panels are aftermarket). The net thing was welding a trapezoidal piece of steel across the seat riser on the floor for a nice flat surface to mount the seats. I had a set of Blazer seats reupholstered and mounted them in there. The head liner is a crushed velvet material that is actually stretched and tucked. I have upgraded the look of the gauges with a white face overlay and repainted the inside of the guage box white so that the new red bulbs would light up the guages nice. There is a carbon fiber dash and door kit installed also. I shaved the steering column of its shifter and installed a Hurst Promatic II shifter on the floor. I made custom kick pods housing an 8", a 6.5" and a tweeter. The stereo consist of all Sony Xplod equipment. The next step was swapping out the engine for a 350. 350 has mild head work, mild cam, worked Holley 600 cfm single pump carb, Edelbrock air-gap intake, worked Accel HEI and coil that has been recurved and weighted to eliminate need for vacuum advance, and plain set of chrome headers leading out to stainless glasspacks. The rear only has a 10 bolt with 2.73 ratio but it is being swapped out for 12bolt 4.11 rear very soon. The hood has been fully louvered with 256 louvers(8 rows of 32). The entire steel front end clip tilts forward also. The headlights are Eurolite conversion housings that use an H4 bulb now and the grill came from Godfather customs. The tailgate has a large bowtie recessed into it and the handle has been relocated to the inside of the tailgate. The bed has been covered in Herculiner. I installed a roll top cover from PaceEdwards as well until i make my own tonneau cover out of steel with the same louver pattern as the hood. I installed a fiberglass rollpan on its ass. I am presently working on a website which will have pics of everything done to the truck but in the meantime, check out these various links of pics at different sites of my truck. http://www.solowminis.com/site/bobabue/bob.htm pre stereo setup http://www.sounddomain.com/id/bobabue http://psronline.org/pictures/endofsummerbash-j-1-finished/EOSB-068.jpg http://psronline.org/pictures/endofsummerbash-j-1-finished/EOSB-067.jpg http://psronline.org/pictures/Tweeter-Willowgrove-2002/DSCF0065.jpg http://psronline.org/pictures/Tweeter-Willowgrove-2002/DSCF0017.jpg http://psronline.org/pictures/XtremeConcepts-2002/MVC-153F.jpg last one...sorry for being so long winded http://psronline.org/pictures/XtremeConcepts-2002/MVC-151F.jpg timamin 08-27-2002, 08:35 AM sounds like a sweet ride :D welcome to :fsc: N2TRUX 09-23-2002, 10:50 PM Here's a few- http://www.socalcustoms.com/Shows/SummerMadness/56.jpg http://www.sportruck.com/events/msn99/16.jpg http://www.sportruck.com/events/ctj99/160.jpg http://www.sportruck.com/events/wcn99/93.jpg PHOENIX 10-10-2002, 02:28 PM Does anyone know what color that grey one is? The needles should come off easy. I painted the guages before i applied the stickers. These were only supposed to be temporary until i get my dakota digital guages but i liked the way they turned out. -Bob bigred305 10-15-2002, 02:20 PM Originally posted by rf232 I got the overlays off of ebay.
