I was just reading the post about not clearing 35s on an 8 inch rim without trimming on a 4wd. Do ya'll think that I can fit 35's on an 8 inch rim with a 7" Fabtech and 1.5 BL on a 2wd. I thought for sure this would be fine, but now I am thinking I might have to trim. What do ya'll think?

Red2wd,
I think you may rub somewhat on 35's even with 8.5 inches of lift. My brother has a Fabtech 6 and 3 inch body and he still had to trim his valence bumper to fit his 35's, it may be close but if you trim a little you should be fine.

I dunno...I sure think it would fit fine on a 88-98. In my opinion, I would go for it. But if you had a 99+ I'm pretty sure it would rub. Like I started out though...I just don't know.

thanks for the input, I guess there really isnt any way of knowing till it happens, which might be a couple months unfortunately
I just wanted to know if I should start thinking of a different setup. Thanks

I see you have a 1.5" body lift.... Where did you find a 1.5" body lift, and why did you not go all the way with a 3"?
About the 35's, I think they would fit. At worst, you might have to trim a little bit, no biggie IMO.

I have 35's on my 2wd. I have the Fabtech 7" lift and 3" body lift. I think the coil springs are sagging like 2" because they are way old. But I am runnin a 10" wide rim they look way beter then 8" rims in my opinion if you are using a 35x12.50. But I still rub on the bumper and on the back part of the front fender. You will have to trim your valence. I have freinds that have the 6" Fabtech suspension lift and a 3" body lift and have no problems with rubbing. If I were you I would go with the 7" suspension and 3" body lift and run some 35's on 10" rims I was told they shouldn't rub but you may need to trim the valence.
