This engine block is a mid 70's 454 block from a 3/4 ton truck. Removed engine due to mileage and body rot and tore it down with intentions of rebuilding for hot rod project. The rest of the engine is out of a 91 SS 454 pickup truck.

Block:
4 bolt mains
Standard bore (4.250)
Needs to go .030 over and be line honed. Looks to be a great solid block. These are getting very hard to find.

Internals:
8 cast rods that need to be resized. They look great.
7 pistons (in bad shape due to detonation)
2 (yes TWO) cast cranks (4.000 stroke) in need of attention. Both need to be turned and polished.
1 cat cast "stroker" crank. (4.250 stroke) This crank was bolted into a block, but never fired. I went completely forged instead.

Upper end:
Stock oval port heads. These are not the highly sought after 049's or 781's would will work a whole lot better than the "peanut port heads"
Stock tbi intake

Extras:
truck oil pan (nice shape)
Stock valve covers
Stock truck exhaust manifolds.

This will make someone a great engine. Please feel free to call me with any questions.

Not a bad deal. the core charge on a 454 block is this high in most cases.

I listed a price. I was looking for 750, and I got it. Sold the engine 2 weeks ago. Sorry.
