i have a 2006 duramax stock which is 360 hp and im looking to get a 5" cat-back exhaust for my tuck and i was reading somwhere that you shouldnt have a 5" on unless you have 450hp and the only thing im gona do to the truck is a k&n intake so im wondering what would be better a 4" o 5" cat-bak exhaust system... :dunno:

You have to remember that w/ the new intake and exhaust, you could pretty easily make enough power to end up w/ a 400hp truck.
I have a friend w/ a dodge cummins that makes 410hp, and he's runnin 5" turbo back exhaust, w/ no prob. Sounds mean a hell, too. I think you'd be fine.

Put some bigger injectors and a chip and youll be close to 500hp. My buddy has an '05 duramax and he has a big ass chip(bout 180hp) Injectors, banks intake, and a 6" exhaust and that thing hauls ass. And its a crew cab dually!
