Im going to be installing my jl audio 12w0s this weekend they are 4ohms each and wanted to know what is the lowest resistance i can get out of them and how also if i should put a capacitor, btw the amp is a jl audio 300/2 thanks a bunch for your opinions

the 4 ohm speakes u have will make u run the amp in stereo mode not bridged, check to see if the amp is 2 ohm mono stable most likely it is not. if u could u should have gotten 2 8 ohm speakers bridge them together to give u a 4 ohm load for the amp that way u can run the amp bridged and the 8 ohm speakers bridged . The setup u got ur going to have to run in stereo mode un less the amp is 2 ohm stable in mono hope this helps

Bridge your 300/2 and wire it like the second one down on the left side.

And please don't start the "should I cap or not" thread again. Save some money and forget the cap. You probably won't even notice a drain at all. But if you do any thing, do the "Big 3". Hope this helps.

listen i appreciate that tutorial although these are svc, not dvc but there is a section for svc subs as far as the cap i bought it months ago and didnt want to leave it lying around i already see the lights dimming thats why i asked, thanks a lot :10:

The cap will hurt your system and not help. You need to upgrade your wiring to support the load you have on it. Do the big three and your dimming goes away.
