Remote Starter

I want to get a remote starter for my truck butI would like to use the red button on the key fob that came with my truck. Is this possible? Thanks for any info. O

Anything is possible, most come with another remote though. Why would you want to go through the work to try and get it to work with the pos factory fob?

Well if he's getting just a remote starter, he'll want his factory fob for arming the alarm, i'd assume. But i thought i read a thread on here about how to re program the fobs...i would do a search but im in a hurry...i'll look later on for ya

If you want to use the factory FOB, then get a stand alone add-on unit(RS) and then program the input trigger for the RS for the GM FOB. So yes, it's possible

Thanks for the ideas. I'll try to find out how to reprogram the fob.

Do any of ya'll have a suggestion for a good remote starter that I can install and still use my factory key fob. I really don't know where to start.
