mounting subs

Guys I working on my audio system and was wondering the pros and cons of inverted sub mounting?? I have 2 sony xs-l104p5b. I am into sound as well as looks..

Correct, as long as the basket has enough space to allow airflow and the tinsel leads are properly bonded down. It will change the tuning of your box since you no longer have to account for the sub being inside the box.

I am looking a building a triple 10 box... I have 1 Orion XTR3 2 or 8ohm and (2) 4 ohm sony 10". I have 2 amps to choose from I have a infinity 610a and a orion HCCA 225 r..wha t do you think about any of this and which combo might be the best?? shall I stick with 2 subs or use 3??

I would say stick with the two or get three matching subs, you don't want to mix subs like that...
