Hey, what do yall think, a Viper 600, or a Clifford Intelliguard 7000 or 8000. the 7000 has the vibration sensor, while the 8000 has the perimeter sensor. the guys at my local clifford dealer were saying that since i have a truck, the 7000 would be better since it has the vibration and not perimeter. what do yall think? im thinkin i can either get the 8000 a nd get the option vibration and glass sensor, or 7000 with option permiter and glass sensors. whats the omnisensor? hows the viper 600 compare? i cant seem to find any info on it. i wanna try and get it installed on friday. any thoughts?

omnisensor? a glass, shock, perimiter, etc. all in one unit
a perimiter sensor may be annoying if it's going to go off every time somebody walks by your truck.

ahhhh.....well im a student at texas a&m, and the on campus parking lot where i park is huge, and suspect to a crap load of breakins. theres a new pile of glass everytime i go there. at the store here i town, they said a glass sensor is pointless? and that a vibration sensor would do the same. whats the thing that detects if someone sticks theyre hand in the window?

IMO unless you get a pager and can run to your truck and be there in less than 15 seconds to kick some ass. an alarm is only going to do so much. if somebody really wants your stuff it's theirs. make sure it's covered by insurance.
check into having a few piezo sirens, hood pins, and a backup battery installed.
