Well first off please dont type in all CAPS in annoys the hell out of me.

But anyways is this a standard cab short bed? or Long Bed? Either way I guess it matters what kind of times you are looking for out of this truck. The truck is pretty heavy, so you are going to need plenty of hp and tq.

Ok now i have confused myself....by "drag it" do you mean drag race it, or do you mean drag like frame.... Because if you are talking like throwing sparks, draging frame, and all that other stuff i got no freaking idea.

if you wanna drag race it, you can start right away...but to get fast times, we would first need to know what kind of mods you already have...then we can recommend additional mods needed to bring ya home some nice, quick timeslips. if you just wanna go fast as he!! in a straight line, i recommend a VERY healthy small block (preferrably a 383 stroker) or better yet a nasty big block...a decently built 454 will have all the torque/hp you need to bring home some very decent time slips...if you still have stock gearing in the rear end, you'll wanna change that as i'm sure it's 2 series...the you'll eventually wanna install a stall converter to get you out of the hole faster...you have a great platform for a fast street truck, it's all up to what your wallet will allow as to how fast you will go...

well, i googled it because i couldn't remember either and the biggest i see Cadillac having was the 500 cid...rated at 400 hp and 550 lb ft of torque...i rode in a car that had one of these and MY GOD it had some power...for such a big car ('73 Coupe De Ville) it flew!

for a little different we have been using 425 and 455 olds motors with the 400 trans. you just need the frame mounts from a desael. it is not a hard swap.

If all works out well by the end of the summer I'll be one of the few to have a small half-ton truck with a huge 500 engine in it :D
