okay, i'm wanting to lower my truck VERY soon, seeing as my new wheels are on, it just needs it.

i want a 3/5 drop and i want to use spindles up front, but i dont want to machine my A-arms(dont know if i even would need to)

so what is a decent kit that isnt a lot of money also.

and what cheap/ decent shocks would you recommend? i want to get the edelbrock shocks later on but i cant afford the drop and those now

cheapest drop is a load of fatties in the bed:naughty: Beyond that....why not go with the dmj 4/6? only like $400 or so.

edit: just thought about it...is there a dmj drop kit for that year model?

:word: A 4/6 would be the better way to go. You'll get more drop for your money and it'll be easier to go lower in the future.

thats how low i want my truck:) i would say its around a 4/5 drop,

and if i get a 3/5 kit my truck would look like that because my front springs are very warn and i'm sure its already lowered and inch now just from those springs

If you go 3/5 you'll replace the springs anyhow.

:word: To all that was said! Do not buy cheap suspension components because you will have more issues in the long run. Ask 5-8 about the spindles on his 98'. :read: You will have to trim the lower control arms using spindles or coil springs. You can not get around it with 15x8 wheels. If you lower it more than 4" in the rear, a C-notch will be needed. I had a 3/4" drop and it rode very poorly because the lack of suspension travel. By far though, a 4/6" drop from DJM Suspension or Belltech would be best! Doetsch Tech shock absorbers are the best for the money. :D

P.S.-Stay far away from AIM/Chassis Tech! :read:

Yeah, that's right...You can still get 3" spindles for them. BUT, if you know your springs are shot and you're going to be tearing it apart anyhow, why not go ahead and replace those old suckers with something better?
