ur2hi 05-27-2007, 11:01 AM work looks good. are you planning on mounting the bags offset of the lower bars? if you are the bushings will not last very long. also, seems like you took alot off the upper cups. my upper cups are 3" tall and i lay on 22's. from what i understand for every 1" you take off the cups it equals 2" less lift.
where did you get the diff cover? looks sick!

i was just gonna modify mine to bolt in from the side of the frame instead of the bottom, i sits like an 1/8 in above the frame so itll clear, but ill take pics when i get to it lol
crewon24s 05-29-2007, 07:08 PM on the trans bolts just make it so it bolts on from the side of the frame just weld some tabs on each side of you factory crossmember then drill some holes on the side of the frame and bolt it on
DRAGGIN95 05-29-2007, 09:46 PM Hello, thats what i did, I welded 5/16 plate on both ends and drilled the plate and the frame and use at least grade 8 bolts and you will be fine.

bootie 07-17-2007, 09:38 PM we should have it running by the weekend, im about finished extending some hanrnesses, and then its the battery, and then mounting the computer and fuse box on the fender
Nickleahy23 07-17-2007, 11:33 PM bootie, what was/is all involved in moving the stuff off the drivers fender? im going to have to do that real soon..i will have tubs, but not at the moment
bootie 07-18-2007, 10:00 AM bootie, what was/is all involved in moving the stuff off the drivers fender? im going to have to do that real soon..i will have tubs, but not at the moment
well the computer, fuse box, evap canister, abs module and the washer fluid bottle all have to be moved, i got rid of the wsher fluid bottle, moved the abs module up and over slightly and made a support bracket, i rebent the evap canister bracket towards the engine some to clear the wheel, i moving the computer to the front of the fender and make some sort of bracket, putting the fusebox in the corner of the fender and the firewall, and thats about it, depending on the wheel size you'll have to move the harnessplug where it goes through the firewall and plugs into the harness under the dash, which im working on right now, im extending the harness to have the plug from the engine bay to be inside of the cab and just plug in under the dash. thats about it i believe i htink i got everything lol oh and just finding somewhere for the harness to sit
jimhrabe 07-18-2007, 11:12 AM Nice hope shes rolling on her own this weekend
framelayer 07-18-2007, 04:59 PM Nice work bro. Is it going to be at ITB for sure? Mad props.

Nickleahy23 07-18-2007, 06:05 PM well the computer, fuse box, evap canister, abs module and the washer fluid bottle all have to be moved, i got rid of the wsher fluid bottle, moved the abs module up and over slightly and made a support bracket, i rebent the evap canister bracket towards the engine some to clear the wheel, i moving the computer to the front of the fender and make some sort of bracket, putting the fusebox in the corner of the fender and the firewall, and thats about it, depending on the wheel size you'll have to move the harnessplug where it goes through the firewall and plugs into the harness under the dash, which im working on right now, im extending the harness to have the plug from the engine bay to be inside of the cab and just plug in under the dash. thats about it i believe i htink i got everything lol oh and just finding somewhere for the harness to sit
Im running the same size as your are..looks like i have some work ahead of me movin all that crap..to bad i didnt still have the 92 that woulda been alot easier lol
bootie 07-18-2007, 06:44 PM it sucks, im not gonna lie lol
thrillfactory 07-18-2007, 08:01 PM I have a 94 reg cab. Pretty much doing the same as you did but i'm gonna try to keep the bars parallel and the upper triangulated bars meeting center instead of meeting outer on the front crossmember. Like this /\ instead of this \/ only because I want the bars the same lenth and parallel only to keep the pinion in check even with 5 feet of lift and for strength directly on the axle.
bootie 07-18-2007, 09:57 PM my upper and lower bars are the exact same size, my pinion angle changes very minimal with the 20 inshes of travel it has in the rear, i dont really see what you mean with the strength directly on the axle, like welding the tabs directly to axle?
eviltwin 07-18-2007, 10:43 PM :whatever: I have a 94 reg cab. Pretty much doing the same as you did but i'm gonna try to keep the bars parallel and the upper triangulated bars meeting center instead of meeting outer on the front crossmember. Like this /\ instead of this \/ only because I want the bars the same lenth and parallel only to keep the pinion in check even with 5 feet of lift and for strength directly on the axle.
thrillfactory 07-18-2007, 10:59 PM Yea by welding the tabs on the axle. If your bars are exactly the same lenth, then your pinion is changing. Not a lot. Minimal like you said. When you triangulate the uppers and they're the same lenth as the lowers, you actually shorten the axle to front mounting point lenth on the upper bars. Making the uppers just a little longer will fix that. It usually doesn't make a difference cuz hardly anyone cruises 20 inches high. Your setup looks really good and your pics help a lot on doing a configuration.
bootie 07-19-2007, 09:02 AM that wouldnt work on mine because of were the upper bars are mounted on my axle, if you look at it, its if they are actually longer, your pinion angle will always change, you cant really stop it,it just happens, just work it to were it does it minimal within like a a degree or so, but thanks for the comments
thrillfactory 07-19-2007, 10:33 AM Yea I think I might do it like yours. What size bar ends did you use? How did you do your exuast?
Nickleahy23 07-19-2007, 11:23 AM do you have to tub the firewall really?? or are you body dropped..i cant remember..cuz thats going to suck!!
bootie 07-19-2007, 03:42 PM i dont know off hand the size of the bar ends, im guessing 3 inch

thrillfactory 07-20-2007, 02:18 PM Hey, does that new fuel tank hang below the frame?
bootie 07-20-2007, 10:55 PM a little bit but it doesnt hit the ground, even with the front all the way up and the back all down, it still clears by like an inch in a half
jimhrabe 07-27-2007, 10:53 AM any new progress?
bootie 07-28-2007, 09:48 AM weve actually got alot done, but its all small stuff like the wiring, the truck runs now, the valves, edc and evrtyhing are functional, and were gonna be doing the shocks sometime today, and then we have to paint it, put the dash back in and do the bed

Marcos 07-29-2007, 10:36 PM about time!! looks good bro.
Nickleahy23 07-30-2007, 12:31 AM Trucks comin together really nicely...im going to be starting mine this weekend...getting the notch welded in and making the tank brackets on tuesday nite at my buddies...im still kinda iffy on the whole front set up..you cut about 2 inches off the spring pockets, then notched the tie tod about 3 inches? if i dont get that done on tuesday nite from my buddies dad, i will have to go buy some gas for the torch when i do it this weekend..im guessing it would be better to notch that stuff when the time comes and I can cut it right for the stuff..
jimhrabe 07-30-2007, 09:48 AM Lookin good yours will be outta the garage before mine it looks like!! LOL
neverbackdownx 07-30-2007, 10:52 AM hey bootie why did you use push on fitting ?
do you know how easy those blow off ?
bootie 07-30-2007, 04:58 PM hey bootie why did you use push on fitting ?
do you know how easy those blow off ?
ive run these lines at 200 psi for alomst a year and never had one blow off, its not push on its push lok, you cant even pull the line off the fitting, you actually have to cut it
cevers1 07-31-2007, 08:03 AM hey bootie why did you use push on fitting ?
do you know how easy those blow off ?
The hose has a burst pressure of 1200 psi, so I know it doesn't blow off very easy at all. This stuff is so much better than DOT plastic hose, I have yet to see a single problem with the Parker Push-Lok, and the fittings are cheaper.

Marcos 07-31-2007, 08:47 AM Yup that stuff is made for hoppin', I doubt that line will blow off
thrillfactory 07-31-2007, 12:18 PM Cevers1 is right! The fittings are way way way cheaper for Parker Push Lok.
lowryder99 07-31-2007, 01:09 PM ive run these lines at 200 psi for alomst a year and never had one blow off, its not push on its push lok, you cant even pull the line off the fitting, you actually have to cut it
Werd, ive used that stuff on a guys truck I bagged and it was sweeeet. He wanted to run it so I said okay, once you get that line over the fitting it aint coming off unless you cut it off...plus the nice thing was, ZERO leaks right off the bat!
bootie 07-31-2007, 05:41 PM that about sums it up lol
neverbackdownx 08-01-2007, 06:31 AM haha wow im glad to hear you guys have had such great luck with push on fittings. i work for a hose shop in florida and we sell push on stuff and i have realized that if your hose has just about any movement it will not last long and blow off the fitting pretty easy. on my truck im using crimp on fittings mpx's ( MP stands for male pipe and the X means swivel ) and im thinking of using stainless steal lines for a nice look but i havent decided yet
and bootie thank you so much for the detailed picks of your truck it has helped me finalize the plans to get my truck layin low

theres a couple different kinds of the rubber line like that, its gotta be push lok, but its the best in my opinion, it6s flexible, stands up to a little bit more heat, and its usually always leak free, but anytime you gotta a question or something about the install let me know and ill answer the best to my knowledge
bootie 08-01-2007, 08:33 PM ok heres a big update, everything is welded up, and torn back down and ready for paint whihc will be done tomorow night
