Hello Everybody,
I’ve been browsing the forum and am finding a lot of useful information here! I have owned my 1988 Chevy ½ ton short bed for just over 3 years and use it mostly as a second vehicle to haul my quad around on weekends. The truck has proven reliable over the years, and has never let me down. It has the 350 TBI V8 and a Turbo 400 transmission. I’ve recently decided to make it my project vehicle. I plan on painting it and upgrading the exterior trim to the 94-98 style. I also plan on adding a factory A/C, which it was not originally equipped with. So far I have sanded the surface rust out of the cab roof and primered it, and sanded and primered the hood. In the coming weeks I plan on prepping the rest of the body for painting as the first phase of the restoration. This should be fun!
