Okay lowered 92 4wd 2dr yukon here. I'm building an AWD street truck for a custom injected turbo motor i'm building.

I've already experimented with indexing the torsion bar's,adjusting stock key's and am currently sitting on Belltech key's all the way up.
Have adjustable shackle's for the rear, pulling a mid leaf and dearching the spring's this week.
I'm swapping to coilover's in the front and the rear and plan to retain the 4wd of course.
No dumb question's here.People plz read the thread,I just read 14page's of which 10 of them were asking stuff already answered on the first page!
I am following a logicol course of action on this build and need the following info if anyone has it.
Need to know if anyone make's any kind of tubular control arm for the OBS OR NBS truck's,particularly the OBS.Can be stock height.
Has anyone had any problem's with transfer case clearance? I've noticed it dip's below the frame a bit.
Don't the mud guy's "clock" these thing's or something to bring them up higher? From what I see it's just roatating the unit in place.
2LOW4ND your sig say's you have a 4/6 DJM drop and show's an OBS,i'm assuming it's a 4wd since you mentioned having a spare 4x4 kit you might throw on it when you bought it. What kit is it that has a 4in front drop for a 4wd?
tahoetp, you mentioned earlier that NBS hub's will bolt on to your spindle, allowing you to retain your six lug's.
Any chance you have any write-up's about this?
I'm trying to find out what else might swap, the NBS truck's have lowering spindle's and tubular arm's right? I would be willing to try to adapt some junkyard part's to see what is interchangeable if I had more info to go on.
Any help?

DefEddie, 2LOW4ND doesn't have that truck anymore.

I think few places sells UCA and LCA. I seen they have it at suicidedoors.com.
on the airride.com there is one tahoe with shockwave upside down in front so you can retain the 4wd, or like 2LOW4ND did, make plate on the UCA and put the bag there.

I'm removing my transfercase in front so there is no prob on transfercase issue, not sure if anyone else done this setup besides 2LOW4ND.

Like I mentioned,I don't want to bag,I just want tubular arm's to facilitate my coilover setup. I'll check out those link's.
2low did say he sold his truck. Then mentioned buying another 98 truck and throwing a 4x4 kit he had in his garage on it. Just wondering if it's the one in his sig. Assuming it is since the sig has his new username on it.

he bought 2wd though.

where are you planning to mount coilover? you should be able to just offest the mount a bit and use stock UCA and LCA.
if you are going to use stock frame etc, you need to modify the control arm mounts because those that sells is not made for K series frame it's for C.

just like it would with those shockwave upside down.
I know you are not bagging but that will give ya the idea, I posted the link on this thread before look for that one you should be able to see how those mounted, it might give you some pictures to work how you want your coilover goes..

I already know how everything is going to mount up geometry wise. I'm looking to get more front end room and loose some weight also.
The Stocker's don't leave alot of room to work with in an airbag or coilover setup.
I was planning to offset the stock shock mount like you mentioned, and if that didn't give me what I need then I can alter it further.
Life would be easier with option's though,I'm going to try to testfit some of the NBS suspension part's and see if anything matches up.
Gotta find a cheap wrecked NBS first though.

DefEddie,

Any luck with the mock-up of the NBS parts? I'm considering maybe an AWD 2-door OBS project, but coilovers up front would be a priority. I'd prefer the weight-savings of tubular CA's, but I can't find anything.

Any chance our front suspension is the same as S-series trucks of the same era? Syclone and Typhoon owners have a nice tubular coilover conversion kit available to them.
