View Full Version : Can I pull a leaf to level out?

i have my 97 4x4 dropped a 3/5 with keys in the front and hangers and shackels in the rear but my rear still sits a little higher than the front can i pull a leaf out of the rear to drop it a little more how bad will this affect my suspension the truck is rough already a little more is no problem anyone know where i can get a set of shock extenders?? my shocks seem to bottom out any help is appreciated thanks tom

you can pull a leaf in the rear, it will just make the ride a bit softer. if its not too much higher you can take a spring clamp and clamp the overload spring to the rest of the leaf pack in the front

running 265/40/r22 toyo proxy love the rims and tires just looking for a little more drop thanks for the thumbs up

pullin a leaf i dont think will get you 2 inches. maybe one. but the one you are supposed to take out is the overload spring which is the very bottom one. you may consider doing a flip kit if you want another 2 inches since you have hangers and shackles but then youll have to go back to stock hangers

i appreciate the info im prob gunna just pull a leaf im thinking another inch will do for now i hate that the back sits a little higher usually put some sand bags in for winter sags the rear a little more looks like i got a weekend project now thanks
