Okay, I have a box under my backseat now and it has two 12" subs in it now. Well I dont want that setup anymore, I was wondering if it is possible just to run one 10" sub and use the whole area under the backseat as a box and sound good sealed? I just think if I have all that space to play with I will have more options for 10" sub...

Thanks for all your help, Marcos.

Using the entire space definitely opens your options. IMO, if you're going with a single 10", and using the entire area, why not port?

Can I make a decent box and have a port? I thought you needed more space?

It all depends on what sub you're looking at, and the amount of time you want to spend on building the box... I'll be interested to see what ///M5 has to say on the topic.

Yeah, I just want some tight deep bass, for rock and rap... I am tired of this "noise" these 12's make...

EDIT: And I am gonna be putting about 600 watts RMS @2 ohm

Do you have a sub in mind?

Nope, I was hoping to get some ideas on a good sub...

What kind of price range we talkin'? And what's your overall goal... SQ is what I'm guessing with going the single sub route. :dunno:

I want 160db.

j/k Yeah I want some good SQ.. I will be deadening soon and want to build me a box...

EDIT:I think around $300 for the sub.

How much actual airspace do you have? I don't see a backseat inn your courier :D

Yay on the SQ. Lot's of good 10" SQ drivers out there.

I didn't read your 160 post. Now I did. Ooops.

I wanted something like cajundragger's, I know is a NBS so mine will be smaller.

I will do some measuring tonight and see what I come up with.

No should I go with a downfire up front fire?

*pukes

As for the up, down, forward it is going to depend on the space you have. I really doubt that in an OBS you are going to have enough space to downfire anything other than a slim sub. When measuring look to see how much of the lower seat you can intrude on as well.
