When I first starting to customize my truck, I started with JCWhitney. This was about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. At the time, I didn't know about any other places like Stylinconcepts or Godfather Customs. My problems started with JCW back about two years ago when I tried to order some Ventvisors. I had phoned the order and told them what kind of truck they were for, etc. And they ended up shipping me visors for like a 94 S10. Needless to say, weeks later they shipped the right ones and I shipped the S10 ones back, at their expense of course (they paid for the shipping.) That's just a background of my experience with them.
I had completely forgotten about this when I ordered something from them last Thursday. (That's another thing with them, they are relentless in sending their catalog's out near bi-weekly. So I saw something in their "sport truck" catalog and not thinking, I ordered it from the website.) It was just some billet chromed license plate bolts for like $5, (another thing--in the catalog it lists them as $2.95 yet online they are listed as $4.95???) Anyway, I thought ok it couldn't be that much to ship overnight since they are so small. So not thinking I clicked overnight, also not paying attention to their shipping chart listed on another page of grossly inflated shipping prices. So after ordering I checked my email to see if it went through ok, and it did, and this is when I see it's going to cost me over $31 to ship this crap to me. So I email them immediately and tell them to either cancel my order completely or just change my shipping to standard. They completely ignored my email and I get one today saying they have shipped it.
I was thinking about this, it only cost $35 in shipping to ship my Tahoe grille shell Fedex freight truck..so how can something that weighs less than a pound take only a few dollars less just to ship a few days faster? This place is just a freaking scam...and I regret having done any business with them, and in the future never will again.
