Well, I've been wanting to take them off. One was cracked in three places. And one had came off itself.

So i removed the three others. And all the Adhesive tape was still on the truck. Figures. So i went and bought some Sticker and Adhesive remover at Advanced Auto. It 2 hours to get it off.

Heres the before and after. Crappy Camera phone pics.

Looks much better, I did the same thing to my truck when I bought it. I used a razor blade to get the double sided tape off, and buffed off the small amounts of glue left over. Using a razor is faster, but you have to have a steady hand.

Looks much better!!

3M makes an eraser wheel that goes on the end of a drill that makes that job about 20,000X easier but it looks like you did a fine job!

That's actually a fun task, when you have the time to do it. I like the results on your truck.

i was always told that wd-40 takes sticker gunk off. will it work for this situation?

I don't think WD40 is good on paint, if you leave it too long, it could strip it right off. I know I would never purposefully spray it on any of my vehicles paint.

I still have a few spots that i still have to work on. But most of its off. I'm going to try the 3m eraser.

You spray it on and wipe it off, no issues with the paint. You may need to re-polish/wax the areas :D

i just took the chrome off the side of my truck and i used a plastic mud spreader for drywall.... it worked amazing i took of all the chrome on my truck and i didnt leave a single mark at all. The trick is to push the goo together while your peeling it offinstead os scraping it off. it tok me about 2 minutes to take off my old bug deflector this way, and my rainguards took about 4... not a mark. afterwards i just used some window cleaner and it looked great. (I HATE THAT SH*T!!!!)
