I got a 93 ex cab with a 305. I need to know what tranny I have so I can buy a shift kit for it. I don't like how sluggish it is. It shifts fine, but I want it to shift a little harder.

No TV cable, its all controlled electronically. A transgo shift kit is the best most effective way to increase the shift firmness and it fixes a lot of pesky problems that has plagued the 60E as well. Word. peace Hog suthrn98 07-23-2007, 09:51 PM how much do these shift kits run, and are they easy to install? AlienTranz 07-24-2007, 07:38 AM 50-120 depending on if you want the jr or the high performance kit. Transgo reccomends proffesional installation only, but a lot of people are doing their own shift kits with ease and sucsess, so if you decide to take it on there are gonna be plenty of people here to help you with any questions you may need. I'm also thinking about doing a step by step with my digital camera and posting it to aid in the process if that is something you think would be of value on this site. suthrn98 07-26-2007, 05:09 PM would this help as far as some of the bad things I am hearing about towing with the 4L60E, or would I be better off swapping a 4L80E if that's possible? vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
