You can google tunerpro and download it to get familiar with the program! You should also check out Moates site and see about the tuning equipment you would want to start with. Or you can also check out Dynaminefi and kill 2birds with one stone. Lots of info to read and ask about we will try and help if we can.

It's a moates product. You'll need it if you don't use a "flash" (non-chip) solution. check it out at moates.net under chip programmers

it connects to your laptop via USB. used for burning chips

So it is a chip burner, but will also read your chip from the factory. YOu have to take the chip out of the ecm is that correct?

I think it can, but you could probably find your .bin online somewhere (moates). In my truck, the four-letter .bin name was on a white sticker on the computer. Mine was "ARJU".
Acutally, I know it can. It just has to set up for the right chip and offset.

Yes it will read your stock style chip but!! You will have to convert your ecm to the newer style chips. It pretty easy as long as you can us a solder gun decently!! I use the moates burn1 with tunerpro and winaldl to datalog etc. Its kinda old school now but its pretty cheap and easy way to get started. Moated site has all the info on doing the conversion and The burning equipment!! I personally would go the EBL route from Dynamic EFI if i was to do it again!! Thats in my near future. Check out those web sites and it should enlighten you on some of this stuff. Let us know how it goes. P.S It is addictive once you start!!! LOL
