not sure but you should be able to drop body by lowering the body mount on frame? to make ur life easier.

traditional is where you raise the cabfloor up(lose headroom, have to mess with pedal linkages, etc)
channeling is where you drop the body mounts, and make humps in the floor where the frame comes up through the floor. Keeps factory seat height, don't have to modify pedals, etc.
stockfloor is when you build a lower profile frame from the firewall back. Generally don't have to cut the cab floor. Best way to go if you don't want to mess with the cabfloor.
the transmission tunnel will have to be raised with both channeling and stockfloor.

that's the route I went. Never had a day I couldn't drive the truck during the process. Drove it a few days with the frame rails sticking up into the cab, and nothing coverin it. lol

Hey thanks everyone for replyin to my thread.... I think ill consider "channelling" beyond static thanks for that detailed info on body dropping.... when i create the humps in the cab is there going to be a clearance between the humps and the frame or do they jus sit on top? thanks again everyone.....

I'd make sure to have about 1/4 to 1/2" of clearance so your cab doesn't vibrate too much. The only things that should come in contact are the cab bushings
Beyond Static, can you take some pics of what the channels look like in your truck, and how you covered them with carpet etc.
