Hey guys i just recently got my twentys on and love the wheels but gotta level it out. I was set to buy some shackels then read a thread about the lift blocks. Does removing change the ride quality or anything is it a good way to go or shackles the thing to do?

I just leveled mine a couple weeks ago, I have the shackles but I opted to take the blocks out instead and bought new u bolts, 2 inches shorter. Now I want to put my shackles on and go another 2 but I have to find which way works best to get the front down. Mine rides about the same as before but the tires are smaller so I feel more bumps than before the larger wheels.

did removing the blocks level it out? did u need to get new u bolts? i think from reading alot of old threads the spindles are the way to go for the front.

I've got an 02 gmc extended cab and the rear is like 1/8" higher in the rear now. The stock u bolts don't have enuff threads on them to reuse. I payed around $32 for the new bolts with washers and nuts.

No consequences to removing the blocks?

No, truck is driving fine. I've probably got a couple thousand miles on it since. Just ordered my front spindle kit so as soon as that gets here I will get it down more then get the front alligned.
