View Full Version : Best shift kit? SierraSLT 07-30-2007, 12:34 AM I'm planning to beef up my 4L60E in the future, but i want to know which shift kit and others to buy kelsey_canard 07-30-2007, 01:34 AM my buddy has the cheap b &m shift kit and cheap corvette servo and i have a transgo and a corvette servo. We shift about this same....Neither of us will bark second tho. Must be torque management. He saved a lot more on his shift kit and servo than i did. A respected transmission man around here says that he will only use transgos and he reccommends them over a b&m any day, but shift wise i cant tell a difference between them. If ya got the money go transgo if not b&m, they are about the same in my opinion NEUMANNZZ 07-30-2007, 10:06 AM IMO this is the best shift kit: transgo HD2 http://www.oregonperformancetransmission.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=OPTI&Product_Code=TRG-4L60E-HD2&Category_Code=4L60ESK get a vette servo also: http://www.oregonperformancetransmission.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=OPTI&Product_Code=NTP-K51828C they sell them cheaper on ebay. SierraSLT 07-30-2007, 11:17 PM Alright....thanks guys.....i heard transgo is the best to get kelsey_canard 07-31-2007, 09:01 AM there are alot of people that will swear by them. Personally, mine has done me very good and it stoped my tranny from slipping. Go transgo I like mine ridin'dirty 08-01-2007, 02:05 PM is there any posible way to tell wich shift kit is in my truck? its shifts almost normal when i'm very light on the throttle, but with alot of throttle it barks 2nd everytime. AlienTranz 08-01-2007, 07:56 PM The only way to no for sure is to look at the valve body to see if you recognize pieces from a paticular shift kit. Even if I drove it I couldn't tell you if it was a transgo or not, because some people install the shift kit different, and you can get all kinds of different results. TigerEyz3 08-03-2007, 02:29 PM Don't forget Sonnax and Superior make good kits too. TTOWNZ71 08-20-2007, 11:54 AM I have the B&M and I love it. Plus the Corvette servo.. Expect to get jerked into that seat tho haha vBulletin v3.5.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
