bought this car from my grandfather last year so he could start a new project (fully restored 80's silverado, Between work family and friends I have have time to drive it anymore, its just sitting in my backyard killing the grass !

This is 1 of 2700 made in 1951 - not sure how many left

car is located in CT ( 06374 )

This car just won 1st place (antique class) at Altered Image Customs Backwoods Bash 07 !

The car is pretty much all original, the paint has been redone maybe 10 years ago and has typical wear (few chips around edge of hood) but its in great shape. body has no rust (inside truck has a little surface rust) chrome should be redone but its still in decent shape. Interior is all original besides the addition of a 6 to 12 volt converter under the dash , sony cd player in glovebox and sony speakers in the kick panels. Car originally had AM only and 5 watt max speaker!
the headliner should be redone. right now its a great driver car, transmission has been tuned up and parts that were worn were replaced (got reciepts), same with the engine. The car has a straight eight engine with 2 speed dynaflow automatic transmission. everything works on it except the windshield wipers, i think it needs a new vaccum line to it (i dont drive it in the rain), the heater works great/original am radio works but nothing comes in.

This is no high power hotrod, this is a nice cruiser car that gets ALOT of attention!

looking for $7500 obo (possibly trading car + some $$ for a 99+ truck with 5.3L

if your seriously interested and need some pics of any part of the car , let me know!

basically chrome needs to be redone,
weather strip around trunk edge should be done
pass side chrome rear fender trim dented in
rear bumper needs to be straightened a little (not dented, just bent a little it seems)
headliner discolored and has a hole and clothe on pass side windshield pillar should be redone.

all lights work, runs and drives fine, its need a little interior cosmetic work, but it still looks great and yes, the heat does work ! I live in a cold climate and tested it out

he only had it about a year, he never drove it because the big ole steering wheel hurt his hernia, now i never drive it, it would make a great car for someone it runs great, under 75k original miles

the hood opens from either side like that, also the entire hood comes off if you pull both hood relases :rocking: I kinda wanted to bring it back and do this hood latch on a NBS, would be bad ass

shave a few things, chop the top and lower it and you would have a sweet old ride. Then to keep it all Buick throw in a Grand National drivetrain. Man I wish I had money.

see there ya go, a reason for you to buy it!, toss on some dark tint and some 17 or 18's..

these cars are built body on frame so you can take the running gear/frame from other cars, make a few body mounts and toss it on.

everything on these cars is built around simplicity

these cars are nice too, not a single flat part on the body, this lady has alot of curves :rocking:

see the bumper has some small dents and crap in it from over the years that should be worked out before rechroming, but otherwises its in great shape, all the chrome is original, its held up quite good for being 56years old

heres an underneath shot showing the bumper edge, frame, around here you normally have this much rust after about 5 years (northeast usa) this little bit is nothing a little por15 wouldnt stop and yes, exhaust is new
