I called up a shop in Lafayette, Ca that claimed they would do the install for $1000 labor if I provide the parts. he said it would take a day. Is this BS? I was thinking they might be trying to reel me in. Especially when he said parts can be had for $500... :whatever: I'm pretty new to all this but even I know that's gotta be way too cheap. I was under the impression that I'd be paying at least $3k to have an air bag system, am I wrong?
Also, I understand the front is all custom brackets but is there a basic kit I could buy where they could fab up the brackets? Or do I basically have to piece it together?
The shop name is Urban Suburban inc, btw.

I have found a complete kit, it cost $2489.00, installation may vary place to place. 1,000 doesnt sound bad to me. The kit is for 4x4 tahoes, think it was from airbagit.

I paid 4k for all togather, took 2 weeks to finish it.
if you are going with bolt on kits, 4 links needs to adjusted. unless you are going with airrides bolt on kits which will cost ya more.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from airbagit.com it is another company owned and run by aim industries which has a reputation of selling very poor quality junk and very bad customer support after they have your money.

$500 in parts to bag something.....I'd steer clear of them. for a budget install, you could get away with 1,500 in new parts, but $500 will barely buy you bags and valves!

yeah, that's kinda what i figured. i don't think they really know what they're talking about. i called back a day or two ago and i asked some more specific questions about the install and he couldn't answer any of my questions. i asked him which parts i should buy and he told me to look it up on the internet.
i'm probably just gonna do a static drop for now. it woulda just been nice to hit the button to get over bumps easier.
I would love to start collecting parts for a airbag setup...
Anyone have a reccomended list of parts to get for a 4X4 2dr Tahoe?
