First time builder, need some advice!

I'm doing my first engine build-up and I need some advice. I bought what I thought was a burnt out 350 that turned out to be a 305. No big deal, it only cost me $100 bucks and an hour to pull it out. I had it rebuilt, including boring it 0.40 over and milling down the heads. I've got a decent cam from Lunati, a set of long tubes, cold air, throttle body spacer, and a slower turning pulley. I am trying to find a few more mods before I put it in my '93 silverado. I keep seeing advertisements for the 670cfm replacement throttle body from holley and was wondering if it's worth the $400 price tag. Is it really going help out very much? I was also wondering where I could find a aftermarket intake manifold. The only thing I can find is the tune-port kit and I would like to stay with a throttle body.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

extreme efi has throtle bodies on ebay..nice units at 50mm..much cheaper to...cfm tech is another place for tbi.s as well

Any carb style intake will work for tbi as long as you get the right bolt pattern for your heads. You just need to get a carb to tbi adapter plate and you can run whatever intake you wish. Hope this helps

If you do use a carb style intake with an adapter, do you just do away with the EGR stuff. Will that make the computer throw a code or something. I thought about using an older carb motor in my truck and getting an adapter, the emissions stuff just had me wondering what to do to make it work right.
