14102193...87-up...305/350......1.94"/1.5" valves
these heads anything special? i know they are the big valve heads.. but would they be good for a 383 build or anything at all? or they just 2 paperweights with some big vlaves?

THe 193's are just stock 87-up heads, they all have the 1.94/1.5 valves. if you were to get them rebuilt and a little port job on them it would be almost worth it to spend a little more and get some of the vortec heads from Summit or Scoggin-Dickey, or some cheaper aluminum heads. You'll get more out of them then the stockers, so nothing special. THe block would be a good block though (thats what im using), ecspecailly if its 4 bolt.

Yea my block is also a 2 bolt main but yuou can always buy those 4-bolt conversion caps, then get it aligned bored, or you could also install a main cap girdle. It helps keep the caps form blowing apart but a 2-bolt will handle quite a bit of horsepower though. Will your engine be N/A or will you have nitrous/supercharger/turbo?

for the amount of work it would take to get those heads flowing well i'd just buy some vortec's or sr torquer's. sell your old ones to someone with a cracked head and make some money back.

that would be the best thing to do.
