How do I remove an armrest?

Hi,

On my 2002 with bucket seats, the drivers armrest is starting to wear out. Can it be removed without taking apart the seat? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never had to work on my seats before. Thanks!

If you take the seat out, and loosen the cover on the bottom of the backrest you can reach up and unhook the arm rests. They attach similar to a GM window crank with a keyway and little spring clip. The factory puts an O-ring around the ears of the clip too. It's a pain, but can be done. Good luck.

Thank you. You're right...if it's anything like trying to remove a GM window crank, it can't be fun!
