I just bought one on ebay, they say it was for a camaro or anything with a 4l60e tranny. It was only 17 bucks, What kind of differences will it make on a stock tranny? will it shift harder? does it put more stress on the tranny without the rebuilt kit? thanks guys

wont harm the tranny. improves 1-2 shift. dont know how much since I installed shift kit at the same time.

It just provides a firmer quicker shift. When I installed mine I was runnign 32 inch tires and 3.08 gears so I couldn't even feel a difference because the drivetrain was soaking up all the firmness. It was so bad that without the servo the only way I knew it shifted was by the tach dropping. Put 3.73's in a what a difference. I felt 1st gear. It wont' slam you around, it just gives a nice quick nudge into 2nd, not a slush box and tach drop like stock does.

I talked to the guy on the phone and looked at something online.. so i go to the passanger side, pry the shield, remove retaining clip, cut o ring, remove cover, remove old servo, put in new servo with vassaline on it, then put everything back in, in order with new ring on the cover and lube that.. and alls good..

the guy said that its nothing serious, just better for the tranny life, i doubt i will chirp 2nd.

I had to lay a bottle jack on its side between the frame rail and servo cover in order to get it to pop and push in so I could get the snap ring out. Having dual exhaust helped make this easier too.

I've added line pressure to mine along with the servo but I don't know that I would have it added unless I was the one doing the adding. There is such a thing as too much.
