I need some ideas on what I can do to add power to the 4.8 that will be compatible with a supercharger. I am looking for stuff besides the basic Exhaust, Intake...etc. I was thinking about a power programmer or something of that nature. How about sensors, hoses, etc that can be changed for performance gains. I am new to GM engines, but put a Dodge engine in front of me and I can make it purrr. Thanks for helping me with this learning curve. I hope to help some of you in the future...I learn fast...hehe

bypass the throttle body heater and cut the egr pipe of so it doesnt stick so far into the intake gives you those cold morning ponys more often

Good suggestion. That's what I meant by hoses...lol. Thanks for the info.

what kind of supercharger are you thinking about getting? as for ideas, the tb bypass is a good idea. also check to see if there are foam rubber pieces under the intake--front and rear. you can smooth the inside of the airbox for now. you might wanna upgrade to ls6 valvesprings to handle the higher rpms of the supercharger. hope these ideas help

Thanks for the ideas, I will implement all of them. I'm not 100% sure of which supercharger I'll be going with. I am definitely open to suggestions. If this were my Dakota R/T it would be either Vortech or Kenne Bell. With the GMC, I'm not familiar with all of the superchargers available.
